This two-centred tour, plus a day in Switzerland, takes in some of the most spectacular scenery that these three countries have to offer. The village of Söll in the Austrian Tyrol is Europes loveliest village in bloom. Located in a wide valley between the Wilder Kaiser and Hohe Salve Mountain, midway between Innsbruck and Salzburg, it provides us with a marvellous base from which to explore the region and, equally important, a great place to wind down and recharge the batteries.
Our base stay in the Black Forest is in Schonach which lies at the very heart of the region, allowing us the opportunity to experience the real Schwarzwald with visits to Freiburg, Triberg and the Ziller Valley.

Day 8 - Wednesday
Our first visit today is to the old world city of Freiburg, capital of the Black Forest. Here you can explore the 500 year old cathedral or perhaps simply wander through the cobbled streets lined with mini canals and cheerful old pubs.
