Bray & Meeting of the Waters

Bray & Meeting of the Waters

We spend some time in Bray then travel through the Vale of Avoca.

We travel directly to the County Wicklow seaside town of Bray this morning. After lunch we travel further south along the Wicklow coast to the picturesque riverside village of Avoca. The beautiful vale of Avoca where the rivers Avonmore and Avonbeg meet was the setting for Thomas Moore’s famous poem which starts; “There is not in the wide world a valley so sweet, as the vale in whose bosom the bright waters meet.”
