Twin Trees Hotel, Ballina (4 nights D, B&B)
For 2018, our base is the three-star Twin Trees Hotel, situated just outside Ballina. Most of the 54 bedrooms command outstanding views of the beautifully landscaped gardens, and all are en-suite with hairdryer, TV, tea/coffee-making facilities and WiFi. There is an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and fitness suite.
We leave the Europa Buscentre, travelling west via Enniskillen and Sligo.

It’s a day of contrasts at Strokestown Park and the Irish National Famine Museum. We explore the Georgian Palladian mansion, preserved with its original furnishings and fabrics, followed by the Famine Museum, which commemorates the history of the Great Irish Famine of the 1840s.B, D
After breakfast we travel to Westport to browse before enjoying a guided tour of Westport House, reputed to be the most beautiful house in Ireland. We finish our day with Afternoon Tea before returning to Ballina.B, D

We continue along the Wild Atlantic Way through Bangor Erris, returning to Ballina in the late afternoon.B, D
