The Gleddoch House Hotel sits in 360 acres of countryside with spectacular views of the River Clyde and the rolling hills of Renfrewshire. The hotel has 75 en-suite bedrooms each with Freeview TV, iron, tea/coffee making facilities and free WiFi. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and fully equipped gym. Hotel does not have a lift.
Our second hotel is the Altens Hotel situated three miles from the city centre. There are 216 en-suite bedrooms, each with Freeview TV, hairdryer and complimentary WiFi. The Health and Leisure club has an indoor swimming pool, fully-equipped gymnasium, spa pool, sauna and steam room.
We depart on the mid-morning Stena Line crossing to Cairnryan and travel to Port Glasgow to our first hotel.

A full day excursion today. Our first stop is at the Benmore Botanic Garden, with its 70 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds on the Cowal Peninsula. We continue through the Isle of Bute to Rothesay, a smart Victorian seaside resort and the main town of the Isle, where we spend some time before catching the ferry across the Firth of Clyde to Skelmorlie.B, D
Today we are taken to Glasgow by a local coach operator where we first visit the Riverside Museum, home tosome of the world’s finest modes of transport. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure in the city centre.B, D
Time to leave the west coast. Travelling east through the southern Highlands we arrive at Scone Palace, on the edge of Perth. Here you are free to explore the house, one of Scotland’s most important stately homes, and grounds. We continue our journey to our second hotel where we are greeted on arrival with tea/coffee and shortbread.

We spend the morning in the ‘Granite City’ before venturing to the busy harbour for a short cruise to see the oil industry support vessels up close. Before returning to the hotel we stop off at the small fishing village of ‘Fittee’ and the Torry Battery viewpoint, where you might catch a view of the dolphins feeding.B, D
It’s off to Royal Deeside with visits to Banchory and the lovely resort village of Ballater before we visit Fyvie Castle. This is an extraordinary Baronial fortress with lavish interiors and a world-famous art collection, with its own ghosts, legends and folklore.B, D
After breakfast we make our way back to Cairnryan for the evening Stena Line sailing to BelfastB
