The Cotswolds is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty, honeycoloured villages and secluded valleys. The picture postcard countryside contains an abundance of ancient limestone villages, sleepy market towns, castles and churches.

 

For 2017 we return to Ragley Hall and enjoy Afternoon Tea and a guided tour, and visit the ever popular weekly market at Moreton-in-Marsh. The old favourites Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, as well as Broadway, are also included with a “must see” day in Stratford-upon-Avon.

 

Our tour this year is based in the four star Holiday Inn Birmingham-Bromsgrove, which is ideally situated for easy access to the Cotswolds. All 110 en-suite bedrooms come with Freeview TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary WiFi. The hotel also boosts a spa and wellness centre and indoor pool.

Day 1

Europa Buscentre to Bromsgrove via Stena Line’s early morning sailing from Belfast to Cairnryan.

Day 2

We spend the morning in the true market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and enjoy its popular weekly market. As well as a wide range of stalls there is the plethora of antique shops and restaurants all varying for your attention! In the afternoon we turn north to Ragley Hall where you can immerse yourself in its beauty and history with a guided tour. We follow this up with Afternoon Tea and free time for you to explore the extensive gardens at your own pace.

Day 3

Today we explore the towns and villages of the northern Cotswolds with our first stop being in delightful Bourton-on-the-Water, with the River Windrush flowing gently through the village. We continue to the beautiful market town of Stow-on-the-Wold which is the highest of the Cotswold towns, standing exposed at 800 feet high, before calling in on our last stop at Broadway, with its picturesque thatched roofed houses.

We spend the day in Stratford-upon- Avon where you can discover a charming town with a real sense of history.

We return to Belfast on the afternoon Stena Line sailing from Holyhead to Dublin.
