English Lakes, Dales & Peaks

On this tour we focus on two of England’s most beautiful and diverse national parks the Lake District in Cumbria and to the south the Peak District

On this tour we focus on two of England’s most beautiful and diverse national parks – the Lake District in Cumbria and to the Peak District in the south – plus a day through the Yorkshire Dales. There is much to see from the heights of Scafell Pike, the largest mountain in the lakes, to lows

of the caverns that litter the peaks.

Our base in the Lake District is the Skiddaw Hotel. For the Peaks we stay in the three-star Jurys Inn, located in the city centre of Sheffield and within easy walking distance of the Devonshire Quarter and the hidden gem Granelli’s Sweet Shop! There are 259 stylish en-suite bedrooms, flat screen TV, well-lit work areas, tea and coffee docks, hairdryers, free WiFi and lifts to all floors.

Day 1

We leave Belfast and travel to Keswick via the mid-morning Stena Line ferry to Cairnryan.

We have a cruise on Lake Windermere to Ambleside where our coach collects us for our homeward journey which takes in Grasmere, probably Cumbria’s most popular village, before reaching our hotel.
