Galway City is a thriving popular seaside destination with beautiful beaches, a long winding promenade and a buzzing cosmopolitan city centre. The city is a joy to explore with its labyrinthine of cobbled streets, colourful shop facades and busy café/ bar culture and turf fires!
The Spanish Arch near the harbour in Galway reminds us of the citys strong European links and the Claddagh area, the birthplace of the famous Claddagh Ring, of its place in traditional and cultural Irish history. Galway does indeed provide us with the ideal base to experience this part of Ireland. Our hotel is the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill which has 153 elegantly designed en-suite bedrooms all with interactive TV, hairdryer, tea/ coffee making facilities and free WiFi.
There is also a swimming pool and fully equipped gym. There is a large conservatory and deck to the front of the hotel taking full advantage of the breathtaking view.
