Kinsale in County Cork is one of the most picturesque, popular and fashionable resorts of the south-west coast of Ireland and is famous for its harbour and favourable mild climate. The town nestles between the hills and the shoreline with its maze of narrow streets which are never far from the water and have changed little in many hundreds of years. We explore to the west to Skibereen and Bantry House and Gardens and to the east to Cobh and the Jameson Whiskey Distillery.
Our hotel for this new tour is the four-star Trident Hotel, which is spectacularly located on the waters edge overlooking Kinsale Harbour. All 75 en-suites rooms are tastefully decorated and have large windows with either partial or full harbour views. Each room has a TV, direct dial telephone, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and WiFi.
We leave the Europa Buscentre and travel to Kinsale arriving in plenty of time to relax before dinner.

It is into West Cork following the coastline as far as the market town of Skibbereen before a self guided visit to Bantry House and Gardens. Bantry House and Garden is a stately home situated on the Wild Atlantic Way overlooking Bantry Bay in the south west of Ireland. It houses an important private collection of furniture and objects of art. The original design of the garden which dates back to the second Earl of Bantry’s travels can still be seen today. He transformed the house and garden into a Palazzo like those he had seen on the continent.B, D
We start the day with a trip to Midleton, where we experience The Jameson Experience Tour and get to sample one of Ireland’s top tipples. Next we’re off to the historic harbour town of Cobh, the last port of call of the ill-fated RMS Titanic. The town’s architecture and streetscape is distinctly Victorian and is dominated by St Colman’s Cathedral whose 49-bell Carillon is the only such instrument in Ireland and is the largest in the British Isles.B, D
