The coast and countryside offer areas of outstanding beauty and diversity. For 2017 we visit the elegant Palladian style mansion of Holkham Hall, cruise on the Norfolk Broads and travel by steam train through the Bure Valley. We also take in historic Cambridgeshire towns of Ely and St Ives.

Europa Buscentre to the Midlands via Stena Line Ferry from Belfast to Cairnryan.

Our journey to Norwich is interrupted with a stop in city of Ely, which is full of charm and beauty and home to one of the most magnificent cathedrals in England.

After breakfast we make the short journey to Aylsham, where we enjoy a relaxing narrow gauge steam train ride along the picturesque Bure Valley to Wroxham, the ‘capital’ of the Norfolk Broads, before partaking in a river cruise along the Broads.

Day 4

This morning, making use of a local coach operator, we turn our attention to Suffolk as we stop in the thriving market town of Bury St Edmunds which brings together the old and the new, and is known for the Abbey Gardens. After lunch we return to Norwich where we spend the afternoon

Our destination today is Holkham Hall, one of 10 most magnificent palaces, houses and castles in England. Here you will have time to explore The Hall, the Walled Garden and the farming exhibition. Our return journey takes us via the elegant seaside town of Hunstanton, situated facing The Wash. Here you can see the famous stripped cliffs as well as the town’s array of gardens.

We leave Norwich this morning and travel directly to the riverside town of St Ives, a fascinating place with a Friday market and a great range of independent shops.
