The Austrian Tyrol & Italian Lakes

The Austrian Tyrol & Italian Lakes

At 13 days this two-centred grand tour is one of our longest but also one of the most exciting and rewarding.

At 13 days this two-centred grand tour is one of our longest but also one of the most exciting and rewarding. It combines the majestic mountain scenery and clear air of the Austrian Tyrol with the elegant lifestyle of the stunning Italian Lakes.

We choose the most interesting routes for the outward and return journeys and in mid-tour, when we change hotels, and leave as much time as we can to relax and enjoy the hotels’ facilities and their immediate surroundings.

The Astoria Hotel occupies a prime garden site in Stresa, overlooking the pier and out at the beautiful Borromeo Islands. See page 71 for full details.

The Hotel Tyrol Soll is situated in a quiet position, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the village, and is a very traditional, family-run hotel offering friendly service, excellent meals, well-appointed bedrooms and a leisure complex, including a heated outdoor swimming pool. Hotel rooms are spread over two separate buildings.
