The town has a warren of steep streets descending from Augustus Pugins cathedral to the Norman castle and the River Slaney. Enniscorthy is described in Ulysses as the finest place in the world. Our festive package takes in the local cities of Waterford and Kilkenny as well as the Irish Agricultural Museum at Johnston Castle plus Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre where you may find some last minute Christmas bargains.

We travel south arriving in our hotel in mid-afternoon where we are greeted with a mulled wine. Before dinner tonight everyone will put their names into a hat (small charge payable locally) and pick one person to buy a present for - this is for Kris Kindle on Christmas night. This morning we visit the Irish Agricultural Museum at the 19th century Johnston Castle where you can explore one of the most comprehensive displays of farming and rural life in Ireland, surrounded by spectacular ornamental grounds and gardens. Time permitting we will stop in Wexford before returning to the hotel where live music follows dinner tonight
We spend the morning in Waterford, home to Waterford Crystal and the Viking Triangle. After lunchtime we return to the hotel with the afternoon free to prepare for tonight’s celebrations. Our festive Christmas dinner, including mince pies, is followed by live music and a visit from Santa Claus himself who will distribute the Kris Kindle Presents.
After a relaxing breakfast we spend the remainder of the day in the medieval town of Kilkenny where you can visit the castle or just enjoy the craft village. There is a Christmas Table Quiz with goodies up for grabs!B, D
Sadly it is time to head home but not without first stopping at Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre. We are expected back in Belfast at approximately 4pm.B
