Waterford is part of Ireland’s Ancient East and is recognised as Ireland’s oldest city with the glittering House of Waterford Crystal as its centrepiece.

Waterford is part of Ireland’s Ancient East and is recognised as Ireland’s oldest city with the glittering House of Waterford Crystal as its centrepiece.  The county of Waterford has some of the most beautiful and varied scenery  in Ireland, filled with historic sites, lush green river valleys and a stunning coastline. For 2017 we visit the 18th century Cappoquin House and Gardens nd its near neighbour, Mount Melleray Abbey. We return to Wexford and the Dunbrody Famine Ship, and finish off our tour with a must-see experience at the House of Waterford Crystal.

At Waterford’s heart lies Dooley’s Hotel, a modern, family-run hotel, located just a few minutes’ walk from the main shopping and cultural areas of

the city.  Three generations of the Darrer family have welcomed guests to the city and their special brand of hospitality means Dooley’s Hotel is

the first choice for a great holiday in Waterford city. All 112 en-suite bedrooms include a hairdryer, TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
